A: If it is a small project,  meaning 1-2 days,  we can usually accomadate this project within 4 -6 weeks. If it involves a great deal of hardscapes and permits must be pulled the project could take as long as 4-6 months to get scheduled.  As of spring of 2009 we are scheduling hardscape installs for June-September, and all plantings are being scheduled for  late April/May  as well as September –November.

A: The best time to treat crabgrass is with a pre-emergent  in March- mid April

Q: When is the best to prune shrubbery?
A: While this question involves a rather lengthy answer, a short answer would be spring blooming shrubs should be pruned after the blooms have fallen off , i.e.  June.  As for summer blooming specimans  such as Crape Myrtles we typically prune these back in late march to early April.  We can cut back perennials typically after they have bloomed. Sometimes we leave ornamental grasses over the winter to add interest to a garden, but you can certainly cut back grasses late in the fall. As for most evergreen hedges and other shrubs we typically prune in late spring and again in late fall
